ALS is a leading supplier of laboratory and test instrumentation in Southern Africa. We have provided many testing solutions to manufacturing and research organisations in disciplines covering Aerospace, Automotive, Metallurgy, Polymers, Coatings, Textiles, Food, Cosmetics, Mineralogy, Paper, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Life Science to name but a few.

Our technical proficient sale team understands your requirements and can provide cost-effective solutions to meet local and international standards.

Application support plays a major role in ensuring that our customers maximise their laboratory investment through in-house workshops, application seminars and planned preventative maintenance schemes.

After-sales support is of the highest standard in the industry and is backed by a motivated factory-trained technical support team.

Since inception in 1997, Advanced Laboratory Solutions has been solely owned by Dave Perrett (Managing Director), Alessandro Beccaro and Iain Ramsay.

ALS has 4 business units each headed by a Product Manager: Material Science, Materials Characterisation, Light Microscopy and Electron Microscopy. With Randburg being the Head Office, ALS has 3 branches in Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. Each branch office is staffed with 2 sales and 1 technical support personnel.

BEE Status

Advanced Laboratory Solutions is fully committed to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act of 2003 and fully support the objectives and initiatives of this Act. With this in mind we have implemented policies and procedures to ensure that we achieve the highest rating without compromising our pre-and after-sales support.

With recent changes to the B-BBEE Scorecard, Advanced Laboratory Solutions has dropped from a A Level 2 Contributor to A Level 8 Contributor. However, this is a temporary setback and we are confident that we will again be above the minimum threshold.
